KARLA WALTER
"INTERACTIONS OBSERVED....IN NATURE, HUMANS AND SOCIETY"
Presented on: Tuesday, Jul 2nd, 2013

Karla Walter will be sharing her personal artistic journey, her creative process, and where she finds inspiration for her work as a ceramic / installation artist.
Karla states: "As an artist, it is important to recognize a message and seize that moment. The themes of my work concentrate on interactions observed in nature, humans and society. My work is informed by my life surroundings, observing nature and the natural interactions between animals and man.”

Karla pursued her college career at the age of forty six. She attended Florida Atlantic University and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2006, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Ceramics. Karla is currently a working artist and also serves as the Art Gallery Specialist for Palm Beach State College in Palm Beach Gardens, where she coordinates and curates exhibitions. Karla has shown her work in numerous exhibitions, received several awards, and has her artwork included in private collections, including the Whitespace Collection. She also exhibited at Art Palm Beach 2013 with the Whitespace Gallery, and will be exhibiting with them for the 2013-2014 season. She is represented by JF Gallery in West Palm Beach. Karla is continuously involved in the artists’ community and enthusiastically supports local art and artists.
